Acer aspire V5-122p-0408 screen goes black then Acer logo appears then act like it's froze please he
My Acer aspire V5-122p-0408 touch screen laptop comes on and shows the Acer logo with the circle spinning, the screen goes black then after a min. The Acer logo shows but no circle and it won't do anything like it's froze! Please someone help???

New software to play blu-rays with
So now that Acer has discontinued abMedia from their Windows PCs I can no longer play Blu-ray files. Acer do no seem to have provided any information about what software to use instead to carry on playing media files, which is very annoying of . I have VLC media player but it doesn't like physical blu-ray discs I get the following message everytime I try and load a Blu-ray disc:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details.
What software should I use now to play these discs?

HELP: HDMI Output Defaults to Integrated Graphics on V5-591G-56AS
I'm getting input lag from my mouse and keyboard when outputting to my 4k display from HDMI. I've got them both hooked into the Aspire V15 laptop via USB. They work fine with my desktop, and I get no lag when using the built-in monitor, which has me suspect that it has something to do with the HDMI output.
I've noticed that the HDMI uses integrated graphics by default. This is the only thing I can think of that would be causing an input lag issue, since I've tested the input devices on other machines and with the same monitor without any issues.
Further, the NVidia Control Panel does not include settings for Display, Stereoscopic 3D, or Video. These seem to be handled by the Intel graphics controller. Is there any way to override this and use the Nvidia card exclusively? I'm at the point now where I'm just considering returning it for an Asus where I know the HDMI output is hardwired to the discrete card, but I really don't want to go through the process of setting up another PC and returning this one.

Aspire V5-122-0862 Keeps turning on and off
Help! My laptop was work just fine last night, after a while I got up to go do something for a bit, I knew I'd be back soon so I left in on. When I got back it started shuttling down. I thought nothing of it Cuz I was gone longer that I thought I'd be. But when I went to power it back on the power light came on then the laptop clicked like it does when it shut down, so I waited a bit then tried again. Same thing. I Google the issues and everything that came up said it was over heating and I need to clean the dusk out of the fan. So I did that. This times it stayed on long enough to give me the Acer logo, but then it shut right off. Then without me pushing the power button it tried to start up, on off on off. I've tried the battery reset button, the F2 button and all. I saw that I could try to reboot it with F12, but it wasn't working, now it wouldn't stay on long enough for me to do anything with the F2 button. Help please.

Aspire V5-572P-6646 Keyboard Mapping Problem - Top Keys On Number Pad Wrong
Sent my V5 in for service after the screen failed. Had upg'ed from WIN8 to WIN10 prior to the screen failure. Sent it in for repair. They replaced the screen just fine, but wiped my hard drive and installed WIN10. (why would they wipe my HD if they're just gonna leave the same OS on it?!?)
Now I'm having an issue with the keypad.. the mapping for the top row (INS, DEL, HOME, PG UP, PG DN) are all wrong. THe function appears to have moved 1 key to the left of where it should be.
Figured it must be a driver issue, but I can't seem to find any keyboard drivers online for the V5.
Any help would be appreciated!

Is it possible to run a monitor at 144Hz trough HDMI of the Acer Aspire V3 772G
I am planning on buying a Benq gaming monitor to play CS:GO on. But can I run it at 144Hz trough HDMI, because I think it needs to be HDMI V2.0 but I can't find witch one my laptop is using. I have an i7-4702MQ, 32GB of RAM, and a GTX 760M. Thanks for any help!

V5-573PG wi-fi connection extremely slow
Hi -
I've been wrestling with this V5-573 notebook for weeks. It connects via wireless, but the connection is extremely slow. Other laptops in the house get 30MB down, and this one varies between 3 and 5MB down.
This started happening a month after it upgraded to Windows 10. I've tried running Windows Update, but it does not find any driver updates.
It is showing bluetooth errors in Event Viewer, so I've tried to disable/uninstall/reinstall the driver. I've tried to update disable/uninstall/reinstall the Qualcomm wireless card.
I've tried using Device Manager to search for new wireless and bluetooth drivers, but Windows says it has the latest.
I tried to download the latest drivers from https://account.acer.com/hub/products.do, but Windows did not want to install them by browsing from Device Manager. I thought it worked, but the driver version number stayed the same.
I'm sure I'm close, but just stymied.

no network after reboot
after a new reboot, I can not establish a network connection, or Homegroup, but still connecting to internet. The only solution is to restart. I asked Windows community in Windows 10 Section, they advised me to update the network driver, but it is uptodate. Does any one suffer from the same issue, und found the solution?

Acer v7 482PG does not wake-up opening lid after Windows 10 upgrade
Hello,
I searched for this issue but did not find any solution. After installation of Windows 10 in my V7 482PG (clean install), I lost this feature. With windows 7 I was able to wake-up the laptop opening the lid. Now with windows 10, the laptop stay in sleep mode and i have to push a button to make it wake up.
Perhaps I am missing a driver but i do not know which one.

How to upgrade from preinstalled win8 to win8.1 pro Have disk
Before I upfrade to win 10 I'd like to upgrade to win8.1 pro I have legit disk I bought, but when I try to install I get a message "serial number not match any on system" or something like that. I wiped the C drive but kept the recovery drives and still the same result. Restored the system to factory.
Any ideas short of buying a new HD, and if the number is embedded in the MB then it won't help anyway.

Wifi card disconnected
Hello,
I have a acer aspire VN7-591G-55B7 equiped with a Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 7265.
I already had issue with it when switching from AC to DC or when plugging an RJ-45 but now it seems to be completely gone ( I read error 45 in the device manager) I tried repair from the acer recovery manager, uninstall/install.
Should I try the option "delete the driver" and redownload it ?
It seems to be a hardware probleme thought, I really need my PC and would not consider returning it to the support.
Do you think changing the wifi card myself as an easy operation ?

Acer Nitro VN7-592G-747C randomly reboots when on battery
Hi,
My 3 month old Acer VN7-592G-747C notebook running Windows 10 randomly reboots from time to time.
I have only recently experienced it but I have not installed any new drivers in the recent past. I am not stating this as a fact but I assume that the reason why I only now (after 3 months of using the notebook) I came across this issue is that until now the notebook was always plugged in.
When it's on battery what happens is that Windows loads while I do regular tasks (nothing demanding, web browsing, opening Word, etc.) after a few minutes it reboots with no advance warning of any kind.
Windows 10 and all the drivers of the notebook including the BIOS firmware are fully up-to-date.
Any idea what can be causing this?

Hybernate Issue after upgradation to windows 10
I have Aspire V5 573G.I upgraded it from windows 8.1 to windows 10 But after upgrading when i use to hybernate my lappy it power light and fan still on .
When i use to resume from hybernate i m unable to do and every time i m forced to force shutdown my pc an restart.
Already used sollution
1. upgrading lattest version of bios from acer website
2. Downgraded intel management engine to 9.5
But still facing issue

Acer Aspire V5-552 won't turn on
Hello, I have an Acer V5-552 laptop, bought almost 2 years ago. It worked pretty nice until a few months, when I started noticing its cooler is a bit noisier than usual. I mean, as far as I've been using it, I've seen 2 stages, the first one, when the cooler spins slow and the second, when it starts spinning really fast. Well, for the past few months, almost every time, when I watched a youtube video, or something, it started the fast spin. I didn't gave it too many attention and I started watching the videos low quality. And now, the real problem:
-Yesterday, I don't remember what happened, but I had to restart it. After that, I got an error, something like "critical process died". It got stuck there, so, eventually, I restarted it by long-pressing the power button. I turned it on again, and this time, it didn't turn on. I got some error notification, saying they are collecting data, and it will restart afterwards. Well, after restarting, the screen wouldn't turn on. It was like the screen was flickering, betwen the color it has when it's turned off and the color it has when I turn it on, right before the Acer logo appears. And it got stuck this way, continuos flickering, at about one second period. In the meantime, the cooler was spining at full speed. After waiting about 10 minutes, I turned it off again, long-pressing the power button. It turned on, I saw the Acer screen, and everything, but it was the same error, with the same restart and the same result.
I'd also like to add that there were 2 times when I was able to enter Windows normally, without any trouble.
I tryed reinstalling it, but it would'n recongnise my USB flash drive. It was bootable, with Rufus.
Now, the problem is I am stuck with the screen flicker. No Acer logo, no Windows. When I turn it on, the cooler runs for a second. The screen flikers between the two blacks. Then it shuts down, due to the heating, I think.
I tryed pressing with a paper clip the reset battery button, with the charger dissconected, with no effect at all.
I don't know what I could possibly do. I would send it back to warranty, but I can't, because, last year, it felt, in his bag, and it has something they will surely consider enough mechanical shock to void the warranty. I will give it a try, anyway, but if you could give me an alternative, I would be really grateful.
The exact model name is Acer V5-552-10576G50aii.

Should I update my BIOS? Aspire V5-571
Hi all,
I've looked at the BIOS page on the Acer Drivers and downloads section for my laptop (V5-571 Aspire, Ultrathin) and there are some more recent revisions. I usually wouldn't update my BIOS if things are going well but is it worth it to see if I get any sort of performance increase?
One thing that's confused me - my laptop is running BIOS version 2.11, dated 05/11/2012. But when I look at the BIOS downloads on the Acer website for this laptop (I used my laptop's serial number to search for drivers) there is no 2.11 version!
There's 2.09, 2.15, 2.17 and 2.18.
Is there a chance my laptop could be running a BIOS not designed for it? Far fetched I know but I can't see why there wouldn't be a 2.11 on the download page. Also what does "Not for upgrades" mean next to some of the BIOSs listed?
