Hi,
This laptop is a little more than one year old.
The battery was charging from 30% to something like 70% when I realized that the percentage did not increase any more.
I could read battery informations (state of charge, voltage etc) but it did not charge and when removing the AC power, the laptop shut off immediately.
This happened a few months ago. I found some threads saying that it might be a bios issue but the upgrade software does not want to run: it says I must have more than 30% battery left and now the battery is below that level !!!
I removed the battery from the laptop and tried to activate it by putting a 100 Ohm resistor between ground and the green wire next to the red one (the battery sends a short pulse here every second). The voltage on the red wire is still zero. So either this is not the correct activation method or the solid state switch in the battery is dead.
When the battery is in the laptop, the voltage between the red and black wires is 0.8V...
So battery dead ? Bios problem (if yes how can I upgrade ?) ? Mainboard failure ?
Thanks in advance if you have any clue or advice...
