Is there a driver that is later than v12.0.0.116? like a v12.0.0.119? OR is it a v12.0.0.191?? The acer care center updated driver v4.0.2.217 that is more advanced will not work. It gives an invalid ip after coming out of sleep. ACER, please help us. Qualcomm will NOT.

V5-561P-6489 BIOS problem
I have an ACER Aspire V5-561p-6489 that do not boot. Black screen, HD light flash but no screen.
I had this problem a year ago and was able to re-flash the BIOS with the Fn-Esc procedure. But I can't find the *.FD file required anymore.
The BIOS on the ACER web site do not have this file.
Can anyone point me in the direction of that file?

Windows Key from laptop serial number?
I have an Acer Aspire V3-551-8469 with a broken hard drive.
I can reinstall Windows from disks on a new drive, but I want to use the install key that I paid for in this unit. Is there any way to get that install key with the drive broken? The only way I can imagine is through the serial number or SNID on the back.

V3-772 Windows 10 upgrade fail - wont boot just hangs with the acer logo screen
Hi guys
I have just had my computer in for repairs and the ssd disk was changed. I was running windows 10 before and everything was perfect until an update ruined it all. Long story wont go into that 
Anyway so i unstall all my software and do an update to windows 10. All the preps and so seems to go fine. Then it reboots and is stuck. Never moves. I see faint HDD activity but i let it run for 8 hours and still nothing, still gangs in the acer boot window. It is after the bios load, because i can access that if i am fast and press f2.
After a while i gave up and thought perhaps it was just a fluke so i used my recovery dvd's and reinstalled my system and office and outlook and .... After about 5 hours installation my system was ready to go. So i decided lets try again. And yet again same failure. Simply hangs with the Acer Logo.
I called Microsoft and the told me to do a startup repair. However that is not possible, i can get it into the repair mode but none of the functions work. So they said it was a hardware thing but everywhere i look it states the v3-772 should have no problem with the windows 10.
I am normally quite good at fixing my own problems but in order to fix a problem i need an error or errorcode or something to go from. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

V3-112P-C3CM add a SSD
Hi all,
I have a V3-112P-C3CM here of someone that wants more storage. After opening the device I noticed that there is space for a 2.5 hard drive and also solder points but no normal connections.
So my question. Is it possible to add a SSD or other 2.5 inch hard drive and if thats possible could someone give the link for the product.

VN7-792G USB port not recognized.
The USB port on Aspire VN7-792G-51LG (left side) does not work and is not recognized bij Device Manager.
The other two USB ports are functioning well (right side).
As suggested elsewhere, I removed all USB devices and rebooted but it didn't help.
Also installed the latest firmware 1.09.
What more can I do?

Issue with WIFI Driver with Aspire VN7-591G
The wifi driver suddenly disappears on me after the laptop decides that it wants to suddenly restart. I've updated windows 10 and I've tried to reinstall and update the Qualcomm wifi driver. Nothing is working. This is actually the third time it has happened. The first time, I had a friend fix it for me somehow. The second time, the laptop fixed itself with the wifi issue, but only after half the day had passed. The third time, I have no idea what to do. May I'm downloading the wifi driver wrong. But when this issue happens, the wifi button under the networks system disappears completely. It doesn't show up anywhere. I would check under device manager to see if qualcomm is there, it is not there either. I am at a complete lost on what is going on with my laptop.
I've tried system recovery and that also does not work.

VN7-592g BSOD (Critical process died)
Hi,
It has all began when I update Windows 10 anniversary on my VN7-592G laptop , I get blue screen most of the time. I have updated all of my drivers but still got the BSOD. I have fresh installed windows 10 Build 10240. and now I still get the BSOD 1 or 2 times a day (Critical process died, unexpected store exception) . I dont know what to do exactly and what causes the problem.

Can't update Thunderbolt 3 drivers
I have an Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition, System Model Aspire VN7-592G. I opened the Acer care centre and installed the first Fixpack for Thunderbolt 3, however when I was installing the Part 2 of the fixpack, it kept insisting that Fixpack 1 be installed first, even though it has. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Acer Aspire VN7-591G-792U Erratic trackpad
Hi all,
I purchased my laptop about two months ago, but recently, I've been having trackpad issues. The trackpad will be fine at times, but may become unresponsive, move super slowly, and at other times, jump around the screen, and register two or three fingers on the pad. I have looked at solutions in this forum. One popular method seemed to be to uninstall Intel Technology Access, but when I went through my programs, I saw no such thing. I've installed an updated trackpad driver for this model, but am still experiencing the same issues.
Whenever I use my mouse, the tracking seems to be completely fine, so the issue seems to be completely isolated to the trackpad. I understand that I could always just use the mouse, but it would be nice to have a fucntioning trackpad as well. Any help would be much appreciated!

Aspire V15 Touchpad doesn't work
Hello,
I bought a V5-591G-70S6 about 6 months ago and i have touchpad problem about 5 months.
So, the touchpad itself and its buttons don't work completely.
I am not sure but maybe this problem happend after updated the Chipset Driver to version 10.1.1.13.
Also i have a critical update which i couldn't install: "Update Firmware v1.17 to improve touchpad performance".
it's notable that I can't even find my touchpad in the Device Manager.

Aspire V5 -122P netbook won't stop restarting
I was recording myself playing Blameless that I just download from Steam. I wasn't doing anything much and then suddenly my netbook turned off. At first I thought my battery was low but suddenly the blue screen with a sad face appeared. I waited for it to repair itself only to notice it repeating again and again. The small text on the bottom of the blue screen was too fast for me to see what was the problem. I tried to search on the internet on how to fix this and currently, none of them works. Alt+10 doesn't work. I can't remove the battery because it's inside and I can't seem to find a small screwdriver. Turning it off and on by holding the power button doesn't work either. I don't want to buy another netbook because this was a birthday gift.
I use a Windows 8.1 netbook, if you guys want to know. Please help me, I also use this netbook for school.

My CPU temperature sometimes reaches 80°C when gaming
My Aspire V5-591G-55PV when gaming usually reaches 70 degrees Celsius, and after about fourty to fifty minutes it reaches 80 degrees Celsius. What should I do? Can I acces BIOS and make the cpu cooler faster? How do I acces it Bios (already tried f2 and f12)

How to solve Aspire V5 WIFI connectivity problems!
Hello All,
I have a V5-573P with Windows 8.1 that has always had extremely poor WIFI range. I've tried many different drivers to no avail. If I get more that 15 feet away from an access point my WIFI would stop working.
I opened the bottom and replaced the Atheros mini-PCI express wifi card with a new one of the same type. THIS DIDN'T HELP.
I then tried the Intel Network 7260.HMWG.R. THIS FIXED IT. Now my range is at least as good as the other laptops in the house. I can't believe I didn't try this long ago. Here is a link on Amazon to the adapter that works. I didn't have to install any drivers, windows did that for me when I booted after replacing the card.

Based on internet posts, this problem is very common, and the solutions is so simple. Shame on ASUS for using junk WIFI adapters, and then not offering to replace their junk adapters when people have problems.

On Windows 10, Acer Quick Access ignores system color profile
On Windows 10, Acer Quick Access ignores system color profile. For example:
- go to colorcpl.exe, install some ICC profile and set it as default;
- reboot the PC (or log out) and look at your screen color changes while PC is booting;
- you can see that Windows successfully loads your ICC profile, but then, in 1-2 secs, Acer Quick Access drops screen color to its default value (or to yellowish if Acer Bluelight Shield is enabled). Formally your ICC profile stays enabled in colorcpl.exe, but it doesn't actually work until you re-enable it manually.
I think this is a bug. The issue is present even if Bluelight Shield is disabled. The only way I found to resolve this issue was to disable Quick Access autostart.
This makes Quick Access almost unusable for those who use ICC profiles.
The issue was not present in old Quick Access versions for Windows 8.1 (without Bluelight Shield).
